MY HOMETOWN AND JOURNEY

-->
 My hometown is called Bavath. It is located northwest in Svay Rieng province of Cambodia next to Vietnam Cambodia border. It values its status as a city of Cambodia.  Being as independent as possible of other city that have existed or currently exist in Cambodia. Bavat has always been transportation. This is not only because of its position as Asian transportation. Unfortunately Cambodia had Civil War for decades and Bavat is one of places had fire War happened and almost destroyed everything there. After Cambodia have finished and released from Civil War in 1979. Bavat try to develop themselves from commune of people to a City. It can develop soon like this because tourists that have planned to visit Vietnam have to pass Bavat. Many investors like to invest there. Now there are many Casinos and big factories were building up and existed there. It is attracting investors to invest there. Because it is one of the Cities closed to Asian road and next to Vietnam country is easy to export and import some of products between two countries and other. Now Bavat is importance developing cities that show standard living between Cambodia and Vietnam styles and cultures. Even though they have almost everything for people working to run the city including hospitals and anything else as I have stated but for the schools they have lack of qualities and haven’t enough school for students studying. So I have to force leave from Bavat to Phnom Penh capital city of Cambodia. When I moved to new city, everything in market and shops are more beautiful than my hometown but the price are also more expensive either. The living standard is different from my hometown. Even though it became in my habit want to journey in new city, get more experience, and know different cultures and language also. When I finished from high school in Phnom Penh I continue my studying at one University in Chiang Mai of Thailand. The city of Thailand is very nice. The buildings, gardens especially, roads are more beautiful than my country. When I have been in Thailand I have to learn a lot from Thai. It is easy to immune in Thai culture. Actually, Thai and Cambodia cultures are similar including the way of believe and tradition of Buddhism. But the difficult thing is Thai language because I have never learned Thai before, when I go to anywhere or shopping is difficult to communicate or to make them understand me. But there are many interesting and enjoying. I like to study in my University and happy to meet many students are from different countries. They are from Laos, India, Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. So have opportunity to share each other about the culture and language. I have more experience the cultures in other countries. Especially, those who are from Vietnam told me that they are Khmer Krom from South Vietnam, speak Cambodian as their mother tongue I am Cambodian can talk with them and understand them easily and about the cultures and the way to believe tradition Buddhism absolutely the same in Cambodia. So I really want to know who Khmer Krom is. Last year after final examination I have long vacation and went to visit South Vietnam just know that around 12 millions of Khmer Krom living there. People are living in South of Vietnam around 90% are Khmer and most of them believe in Buddhist tradition. According to histories in South of Vietnam they told me that. Before it is South of Cambodia We can also called Kingdom of Cambodia. During World War II, Khmer Krom was colonized by France and after their colonies. They subjected to Vietnam to continue their colonies in 1949. So now Khmer Krom or South of Cambodia they still under take control by Vietnam government. Even thought, Khmer Krom is still claims themselves as Khmer or Cambodian. That’s why tradition includes arts, cultures, language and Buddhist traditions are absolutely the same in Cambodia. So I am happy to know them that the same Cambodian ethnic. It is very interesting to know more people and much other culture. I hope that will observe know well other cultures and languages in my classmate as well.
